The halo braid is a super girly hairstyle and we think it’s perfect for garden parties or summer BBQs that you have lined up for the last few weeks of summer. Check out how to create this hairstyle below…
All you need for this halo braid hair tutorial is:
♥ Bobby Pins
The first step of the halo braid hair tutorial is to curl your hair. The Babyliss Pro Conical Wand is perfect for creating soft ringlets, which is just the type of curl we’re going for! Once you have finished curling your hair, give your hair a mist of Tigi Bed Head Masterpiece Massive Shine Hairspray to set the curls and to hold them in place.
The next step is to create the halo braid. Start by taking a piece of hair from the front of your face and twist the hair back slightly and pin into place. Then pick up another section of hair from underneath the one you have just pinned and twist the hair back, pinning it over the first section of hair. Repeat this movement, twisting and pinning both sections of hair over one another, until you reach the back of your head. Remember, when you are pinning over the sections, you want to make sure that you are pinning and twisting over the bobby pins you have just pinned to help disguise them for a neat finish.
Once you have finished pinning and twisting one side, repeat exactly the same step on the other side until you reach the back of your head. When you are inline with your first braid, join both of the braids up by twisting them over one another and pinning them in place.
What do you think of the halo braid? We’d love to know whether you will be giving this pretty braid ago. Also remember to check out and subscribe to the Bobby Glam YouTube channel for more braided hair tutorials ♥
