Vintage Half Up Hair

This week I have a vintage half up hairstyle to show you all! I became inspired after flicking through some old fashion magazines and I just had to recreate some of my favourite hairstyles and add a modern twist. Read on to find out how to do so my dears…

What you will need:

♥ Hair brush

Curling tongs/hair straighteners

♥ Bobbypins

Step One:

I love this look with curled hair, it really add to the vintage feel! Be sure to curl your hair before pinning with some curling tongs or hair straighteners, whichever you prefer.

Step Two:

Take a section from the front of your hairline, about 2 inches wide to begin. Wrap this section of hair around your two forefingers and carefully pin in place. The rest of the section will still be hanging down so pick the same section up and wrap around and pin again. Continue this too the end of your hair. This is an old fashioned technique and I love it! Definitely bringing it back this year!

Step three:

Once the top section is pinned you need to take a section from underneath and repeat step two. Do this on the opposite side so both sides mirror each other.

Hint: If you want to turn this into an updo just repeat until you’ve pin all of your hair up : )

And there you have it! Super easy isn’t it?!

Let me know what you think of this vintage inspired hairdo’ my lovelies and if you recreate this look then I would love to see your pics : ) xx
