With winter well upon us, we thought we’d give you the lowdown on our favourite winter hair care products so you can breeze through the harsh months with lovely, healthy, luscious locks!
Winter’s bitter weather can really play havoc with your hair, whether it’s causing your hair to frizz, draining it of all life possible, drying out your scalp or the inadequate amount of sun making your hair appear extremely dull. Winter hair is something we all dread, as well as the rain and wind!
But there’s no need to dread it anymore my lovelies, we’re going to introduce you to our favourite winter hair care products to help rejuvenate your tresses and battle through the cold times.
So, we all know the cold winter air can cause our hair to fly-away, curl when we don’t want it to, appear dull and lifeless and not forgetting, the dreaded frizz. Oh how we hate frizziness. But there’s no need to worry anymore, we have some amazing products which should blow away all your winter hair care woes!! Firstly, we need to tame your tresses with some hydrating and smoothing shampoo and conditioner. Our favourite winter hair care products for taming and injecting some moisture has got to be Tigi Urban Antidotes Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner. Infused with Turbo Hydration molecules for an instant moisture hit, these products treat dry and damaged tresses for a softer, shinier finish. Tigi Urban Antidotes Recovery Shampoo gives ultimate results when paired with its conditioning counterpart – Tigi Bed Head Urban Antidotes Recovery Conditioner!! This conditioner drenches and hydrates stressed-out locks and is great for nourishing and silkifying dry and tired hair to give it a new lease of life! Wooop! This shampoo and conditioner combo is also sulphate free which means it’s extra kind to sensitive skin and will help your dried out scalp too. Not only that, but the gorgeous tropical scent will bring back happy holiday memories. You can thank us later …
When styling your hair in the winter months, try not to over-style with heated styling tools as too much artificial heat will damage the hair cuticles, which will create even more frizz. Be sure to use a smoothing product to seal and restore moisture and shine; our favourite smoothing winter hair care product is Tigi S Factor Silky Smooth Moisture Serum. This clever little product protects hair against heat and environmental damage whilst also smoothing cuticles and controlling fly-aways for a super smooth finish and a glamorous shine.
Limp and lagging hair is another thing we all experience throughout the winter months, thanks to hats and scarves flattening our ‘dos! So some texture and lift is all we crave. Achieve this using another of our favourite winter hair care products: The Tigi Catwalk Your Highness Root Boost Spray. This lightweight, fine mist foam lifts your hair from the roots for ultimate volume and creates a long-lasting style too! Perfect. Oh, a little top tip: Section your hair and spray Catwalk Your Highness Root Boost into your roots for dramatic lift and then blow dry to set your style.
Split ends and dull hair are another pain in the behind when it comes to winter weather so make sure your hair gets a good night’s beauty sleep with our final favourite winter hair care product, Tigi S Factor Wonderful Tonight Overnight Treatment. This product contains Keravis which is proven to triple the strength of damaged hair. Wowsa. It intensely moisturizes dry and damaged hair and works to control pesky frizziness and fly-aways for ultimate silkiness. Hooray! Work a small amount of S Factor Wonderful Tonight into dry hair, concentrating on the ends and dry areas, before going to bed. Rinse, and shampoo and condition your hair as normal the following morning. This winter hair care product is a miracle treatment that works while you sleep so that you wake up ready to face the world with gorgeous hair! Simply. Perfect. ♥
